Imaginaire · A case study in web design

by Marlon Needelman

As a lover of games and collectibles I was inspired to examine the website of one of my local game stores. It presented lots of opportunities for improving the user experience and in the short 3-week sprint I worked to readdress as many usability issues as I could across the entire website.

The full case study is currently under construction. In the meantime you can try out the prototype below.

The project addressed concerns around various levels of navigation, categorization issues, the full shopping experience from finding a product to checking out with a product.
While the scope of the prototype had to be managed carefully given the tight time constraints, a full flow can be experienced by going to Games, choosing Magic: The Gathering from the Filters, adding Final Fantasy booster packs to cart, selecting the Cart to open the cart window, selecting Checkout, choosing any account type, or Submit or Sign in, choosing a shipping or pickup option and then Choose Payment Method, selecting Review Order and then Placing the Order. The sim can be restarted by then pressing Return to Home.
